Comfort and convenience of modern apartment depends on the lighting. In addition to natural lighting, a great role in this belongs to artificial lighting. Correct lighting is not only coziness and comfort, it is the appropriate atmosphere in your home, the optimal conditions for work and rest, a good mood. To create artificial lighting apply lamps of various types and different functional purposes. With the help of lamps you can give the interior of the room a peculiar style and appearance.
Among the ways of light design of the room, the illumination of the floor occupies a special place. The glowing floor is very impressive, the play of light and color creates an extraordinary atmosphere in the interior of any room.
Lighting the floor with LED strip and lights is one of the most popular solutions. Unlike other options (for example, neon lights), LED floor lighting does not have cumbersome voltage converters, mounts, maintenance hatches, cooling fans, light filters. Extremely simple in installation, economical and safe, LED sources have significantly expanded the use of floor lighting. There are several ways to organize such a highlight.
Most often, the lighting of the floor in the apartment is the illuminated plinth. The LED strip is located in the cable duct of the skirting. This method allows you to hide the light source, to provide uniform scattered lighting. In this case, it is possible to use both ordinary tape and “running wave” type tapes. The illumination of the skirting board allows minimizing the costs of equipment and installation, it can be performed in any premises.
Another way to organize the lighting of the floor is the wall niche in the floor. In such a niche, both LED strip and lighting fixtures can be mounted. In this case, the illumination of the floor is combined with the illumination of the wall. The small size of LED fixtures and especially the ribbon make it possible to make this niche narrow. Whether the backlighting is directional or diffuse is determined by the niche parameters and the choice of the luminaire.
Built in the floor fixtures – another option for lighting the floor. It can be either upward-oriented “point” fixtures, or a modular “light-field” system. Separate lighting fixtures with a sealed enclosure and a lens made of durable glass or plastic have become widespread in the illumination of the floor of halls, corridors and especially street tracks. A “light field” of the ready-made LED modules is usually used in discotheques and other entertainment establishments. In this case, the floor of the luminous blocks is light-musical and is controlled by the DMX protocol from the DJ console. In residential and public buildings, a similar option is used: illumination around the perimeter of standard sealed boxes filled with decorative stone, or lighting a niche in the floor.
Backlighting stairs is another kind of floor lighting. At the edges of the steps, aluminum corners are often installed to protect them from damage. This can be combined with the illumination of the edge of the step: the LED strip embedded in the recess of the special lining will make the stairs safe and give them an unusual look, while also allowing to reduce the cost of general lighting.
Regardless of the location of the tape or luminaires, the floor lighting can be made either with a single-colored LED strip or with an RGB tape, using to control the illumination of the controller and the remote control. In the second case, there are almost unlimited opportunities for the dynamics of light and color changes – and all this can be changed either manually or automatically by programs.
Clean, saturated colors of LEDs, plus the ability to change the brightness of light and color – this is the formula of a unique atmosphere of the interior, which creates a properly organized lighting of the floor.
